My name is Jessica Zisa and I am a student, a writer, a dancer and lover of life. I’ve had my battles, heartbreaks and tragedies, but I’ve had many wonderful and beautiful blessings in my life as well. I had the privilege of dancing as professional ballet dancer for several years, an experience I will treasure always. I have been inspired by my amazing family, teachers and friends. Their love and support over the years have carried me through many storms. Now I am entering the world as an aspiring writer. I am currently working towards my B.A. in English Literature and Writing with a minor in Public Relations at Marylhurst University here in Oregon. I love learning and appreciate any wisdom and advice you may have, whether it be in writing, editing, media, or life with all its complexities. I welcome your comments, advice and input. I hope you will follow me on this new life and literary adventure! 🙂
Wow! Jessica! You’re on your way…. May you find all the inspiration, love and strength from The One Who made you and desires His Best for you, His Daughter. Walk along the ancient path that leads you all the way Home.

Good luck with your writing. The only advice I’d give is to keep on writing. Make it a daily ritual and stick to the ritual as much as you can. That’s the only way to make the words pile up into stories, novels, poems … Whatever you decide you want to write. Oh, and don’t be discouraged when you pen a stinker – we all do.
Thank you Simon! That is very great advice. I like the image of words piling up – writing really is the art of arranging letters and words. It’s important to remember its basic pureness. And yes, it’s also important not to focus on perfection as an end goal, but rather as a learning process. I have to constantly remind myself of that!
Thanks, I appreciate your input and advice!
Best of luck to you with your writing as well!
